I’m not sure who this question is posted to but I’m sure either one can advise. I coach 7th grade girls and was wondering how soon they can begin to process info about developing mental toughness. It seems with school, homework, boys, and sports they are overloaded as it is. Can they fit any more into their busy brains?

      Hi Fred,
It’s never too early to “begin” to process information on developing mental toughness, in fact, they’re “processing” information on it regardless if we give them something formalized to think about or not. The question is – what information they’re using to formulate their “skills” in this area – effective or ineffective? However, the question is pretty broad and has many angles. The bottom line is that BECAUSE of all those competing interests/overload it’s even more important to begin to build the foundation for mental resiliency or “toughness”.
